![]() ![]() I hope this helps in your decision making towards this program. ![]() Two or more is generally considered a virus. A good rule of thumb is if a file is flagged by only one of the engines, it's a false positive. I believe it uses Virus Total which is a free online scanner that allows a user to upload files to it's server, it then checks those files, runs them through several scanning agencies, and then informs you of the results. After using this software for a while, you learn to check EVERYTHING that Unhackme flags with it's online tester. One could argue coincidence I suppose, but the timeline of events was dead on for providing evidence that Unhackme had indeed solved the mystery. ![]() Unhackme did, however find a rootkit, extinguished it, and I regained full functionality of my mouse settings again. Nothing could find anything wrong with my Dell notebook. I ran scan after scan with McAfee, and a couple of others (forgive my memory, it's been a while). The only way I really knew something was wrong with my computer was that the mouse behaved differently and I could not return it's function to my preferences. Nothing else I had on my computer could find it, much less repair it. I downloaded this program from GAOTD a couple of years back and soon afterwards picked up a rootkit. I can attest to Unhackme's proficiency at finding and ending rootkits. ![]()
